On behalf of all members, Young Minds, and team C3S, it is a great pleasure and honour to extend warm greetings and good wishes on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day. It has been a tumultuous period post-Covid and Galwan and there are great challenges ahead to be surmounted with the collective will of the people of this great country.
This day marking the 75th year of our independence is indeed special, despite the hard times faced by the country due to the trans-Himalayan aggression by China and the all-round impact of the COVID19 pandemic.
2021 saw the celebration of ‘Swarnim Vijay Varsh’, commemorating 50 years since India’s victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war, made possible by the indomitable bravery and sacrifice of our soldiers. This spirit of bravery and sacrifice was also captured in our nation’s public health workers and COVID warriors. In the midst of a raging pandemic, India commenced the world’s largest vaccine drive and continued to provide substantial doses of vaccines to neighbouring countries as part of its Vaccine Diplomacy efforts. More recently, India’s sporting heroes have brought great pride to the nation at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, demonstrating the impressive results of their hard work, determination and talent.
As India begins to celebrate this Independence Day, INS Vikrant – India’s first indigenous aircraft carrier has completed its maiden sea trial and deck landing. INS Vikrant takes India into a small club of seven other countries with the technical capability to build an aircraft carrier. This stellar achievement is concurrent with the creative innovation displayed by Indian industries in several other fields.
The commitment and perseverance of the nation’s defense forces, COVID warriors, Olympians, and proud citizens will continue to inspire us in our journey to bounce back with dedication and renewed vigour.
We at C3S will continue to provide quality inputs to the policymakers and other stakeholders. Wish you all a happy Independence Day and great returns as we march towards a century.
