Creative Classics of China No. 001/2019

The Chennai Centre for China Studies (C3S) and Sahara Asia, Chennai, jointly bring to readers a series of Chinese classics and poetry in Tamil, titled “Creative Classics of China”. The series is a translation by Uma Balu, Director, Sahara Asia, Chennai; Member, C3S. 

The series begins with the Preface to 18th Century Mandarin Classic “Dreams of Red Mansions” in Tamil.

(Uma Balu is Member, C3S. She is an Entrepreneur, Writer, Artist, Language Trainer, Translator and Interpreter. She is Founder and Director of Sahara Asia, which focuses on Professional Language & Culture Services. She is Vice-President, BRICS Generation, Chennai; Member, Indian Translators Association, INTACH; and Member, BRAWE group for Women Entrepreneurs. She is a Japanese Language Trainer, Translator and Interpreter and is Program Director, Language Labs. She has presented papers on language and culture at many national and international conferences. She is fluent in English, Japanese, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. Her hobbies include language learning and studying world cultures and classics.)
