Abstract

The paper presents a comprehensive exploration of Rare Earth Elements (REE), analyzing their significance, global distribution, China's dominance, and the emerging role of India and Africa in reshaping the REE landscape. A pivotal turning point emerges with the discovery of substantial REE deposits in Africa, prompting a shift towards diversification and reducing dependency on China's monopoly. The paper also explores the symbiotic ties between India and Africa, spanning political, economic, and development domains. It highlights how their collaboration can bolster Africa's REE industry, stimulate economic growth, and contribute to sustainable development goals. The research delves into the potential role of the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (Quad) in integrating Africa into the REE supply chain.
