C3S One-Day International Conference on Shaping & Synthesising the Voice of Global South Post G20

India through its presidency of the G20 has shown renewed interest in being the forefront as the voice of the Global South. ‘Voice of Global South Summit’ held in January 2023 exhibited India’s vision of consulting the countries not represented during the G20. Japan’s initiatives on the Indo-Pacific and the QUAD have broken the misperception of Asia as being merely Sino-centric.

Building on this construct and architecture, the TOne Day International Conference by Chennai Centre for China Studies (C3S) seeks to identify areas for further co-operation and build on collaboration to transform and deepen the region and global south, including the Indo-Pacific that revolves around the centrality of the Indian Ocean.
